Down the southern tip of Mindanao, expanding from the basin of Sarangani Bay, lies the City of General Santos. The tuna capital of the Philippines. When we first arrived at Gensan airport I was a bit skittish since this is Mindanao and the wedding that we are covering is a Military wedding. I was imagining things like bomb threats etc. and was joking around with the team. Even on the day of the wedding itself you could see military men around the church for some of the couple’s guest were high ranking AFP officials in the South. Well, every doubt about the place faded away when I saw how beautiful and hospitable Gensan is and how yummy the freshly caught tuna during the cocktails.
Started the day at East Asia Hotel for preps. Flowers delivered fresh by their suking tricycle.Â

Invites were designed by the Bride’s brother who happens to a a graphic designer in an Ad Agency here in Manila.

the ORGANIC designed monogram. Love it.

Two sets of bands. And these ones for the Airforce.

The gorgeous bride, Janice

Deo had his share in the limelight.

Since there was plenty of time, we had a pretty good rounds with Deo’s portraits. A nice sip of ice cold Sprite after his pictorial would be better for the Lieutenant.

As I’ve said, military men were all over the place. From airport, to our hotel, on the church and reception!

anticipation…

We had our couple pictorial the next day at DOLE Farm. Gensan is not only known for tuna, but also for the sweet pineapples from DOLE.
